Freedom of Information Reports

During 2009 the FOI Unit produced monthly reports on implementation of FOI across all public authorities. These reports included the number of requests received, decisions made, compliance with timelines and average response time, appeals and other information that the public may find of interest. In compiling these reports, the FOI Unit relied entirely on self-reported statistics and progress from each Information Manager, which is inputted into a computer tracking and monitoring system entitled JADE. This information will not always be completely accurate, and changes may have been made since the information was reported. As of January 2010, the FOI Unit will no longer produce these reports, but each public authority should maintain a disclosure log of requests that is open to the public.
The Information Commissioner's Office reports to the Legislative Assembly annually, including statistics on FOI requests made by the public. These annual reports can be found on their website at www.infocomm.ky, or you may contact the Office at 345-747-5402 or info@infocomm.ky.
