Natasha Bodden - FOI Coordinator (Acting)
Natasha Bodden was appointed as Policy Analyst for the Freedom of Information Unit in February 2008. She was drafted from the private sector where she has over ten years of administrative and corporate legal experience, and has practiced here in the Cayman Islands as well as in other countries.
Within the FOI Unit, Ms. Bodden has prepared manuals and procedures for FOI and conducted many training and sensitisation sessions. She also provides policy advice, responds to queries on interpretation of the FOI Law’s administrative and procedural implementation requirements and continues to strategically develop administrative procedures relating to FOI through coordination of an Information Managers Network.
Ms. Bodden holds a bachelor of law degree from the University of Liverpool and a Certificate in Cayman Law with commendation from Queen’s University, Belfast.

Aubrey Bodden - Acting Policy Analyst
Aubrey Bodden was employed by the Cabinet Office in September of 2008 as a Research Officer, seconded to both the Freedom of Information Unit and the Protocol Office. In July 2009 she became Acting Policy Analyst for the Freedom of Information Unit.
At the FOI Unit, Ms. Bodden conducts research on a wide variety of subjects and produces and reviews reports, guidelines, circulars, advice and other documents issued by the Unit. She is also very involved in the training of the civil service and monitoring the implementation of FOI, and was instrumental in bringing this newly designed website live.
Ms. Bodden is also involved in the new task of creating Data Protection Legislation for the Cayman Islands and an on-going project which addresses laws identified as inconsistent with FOI and hopes to ensure a clear regulatory framework governing access to records.
A recent graduate of Cornell University, Ms. Bodden holds a bachelor of arts in Government and History, with minors in International Relations and Law & Society.

Zara Yates - Senior Administrative Assistant
Zara Yates commenced work with the FOI Unit in July 2009. Ms. Yates assists with planning and preparing reports to monitor the status of FOI implementation; provides accounting support and budget preparation; organises events and workshops for government public authorities, media groups, and civil society on the FOI Law; and coordinates the FOI committees and network meetings, as well as assisting with consultants’ visits.
